It is USB and detected by W2K SP1 as "V90 modem with USB interface", it will not initialise without the drivers, and will not accept bog standard windows drivers. No support from Conexant homepage, and also it uses masses of system resources (causes juddering on a 1GHz Athlon with 384Mb RAM)I think it may be an incompatibility problem, possibly resolved in SP2 or new Motherboard BIOS (I have ABIT KT7).
