This game works after right-clicking to choose XP SP2 compatibility, and using the game's OWN configuration engine to use the PC speaker for sound instead of hardware accelerated sound.

No problems running unde Vista x64. The patch fixes minor performance issues not related to Vista x64 systems (at least that I know of).

Simply delete index.fat everytime before you start AOW and ignore romdump.com (16 bit so it will not work in x64) error message. Will reset your settings but only way till now to get it work.

WinXP SP2, P4 2.53 Ghz, 1GB DDR333, Radeon 7000 64MB, 640x480, maximum everything: minor graphical glitches in some maps, mostly by the video card. Works perfectly in WinXP SP2, no need for patches or something.
